The Carter Mansion was the first house in Arkham
to feature indoor plumbing. In 1892 this roomy cloakroom
was transformed into the first fully functioning bathroom in town.
The "window" there is a relic from the days before the Gallery was added on. There is nothing behind that shade now but plaster.
The medicine cabinet is kept historically
accurate, though. Hmm, let's see, "Goody's
Headache Powder" seems fairly self-explanatory.
"Blackman's Cow Powder" ...not so much.
Oh, here's something called "Nurse Mabel's
Morphine Teething Drops".
And just beside it...a small bottle of "Bayer Heroin".
Boy, talk about the good old days.
Go ahead and use the toilet.
It's something of a landmark, after all.
